PRP for Hair Loss — Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment

PRP platelet rich plasma hair loss treatment process

What Is PRP?

PRP is a simple, non-surgical procedure where a patient's own Platelet Rich Plasma from their blood is injected into the scalp to stimulate hair growth and provide fuller and healthier looking hair.

Each session takes 30 to 60 minutes and provides reliable results with a very quick recovery period. It is perfect for patients looking to encourage hair growth as an alternative to a full hair transplant but is also popular as a supplement to a hair transplant procedure.

Key Benefits

  • Hair growth without surgery

  • Fuller, thicker hair

  • A course of treatments

  • Minimal pain

  • Suitable for men and women

What Does It Involve?

The therapy begins by taking a small amount of blood from the patient's arm. The blood is put into a centrifuge, spinning at high speed to separate the platelets and plasma from the red blood cells. This plasma, rich in platelets and growth factors, is then injected into the scalp at the level of the hair follicles.

How Much Does It Cost?

Our guide price is £300 per session dependent on individual requirements. Following your consultation with the PRP technician you will receive your personal quote.

The Science Behind PRP

Some in the medical community think that PRP injections trigger natural hair growth and maintain it by increasing blood supply to the hair follicle and increasing the thickness of the hair shaft. This approach is often combined with other hair loss procedures or medications.

PRP therapy has been in use since the 1980s. It has shown positive results for problems such as healing injured tendons, ligaments, and muscles.
